Three days among the UNESCO-listed vineyards of the Langhe, from Alba to Barbaresco by way of Barolo and La Morra: hills, medieval villages and the cellars behind the wines that carry these names.
Two days among the UNESCO-listed vineyards of the Langhe, with the minibus alongside for the whole route: anyone who would rather not finish a stretch can get back on board at one of the agreed pick-up points. We walk between rows of Nebbiolo, Barbaresco and Dolcetto, stopping in the villages and the cellars.
Highlights
The Castle of Grinzane Cavour
The destination for the afternoon of the first day, after the walk between Treiso, Neive and Barbaresco.
The cellars of La Morra
The village crowns a hill covered in Nebbiolo vines, the grape behind Barolo. On the afternoon of the second day, a tasting at the Cantine F.lli Savigliano in Diano d'Alba, with the option of climbing the tower for sunset over the Langhe.
How it works
Private groups with a minimum of eight participants. Each day's walk is shadowed by the minibus, with marked pick-up points for anyone wanting to cut the distance short. Lunch is a packed one; dinners are arranged in the villages along the way. September is the month to choose.
Good to know
The pick-up points along the route let each participant adjust the length of the walk without having to complete the whole loop.
The programme may change according to weather conditions.
